back from hiatus

yeah yeah yeah,,, i know i suck at this. ten paciencia...i will get better and HEY im back from hiatus! anyhow, the end of 2011 was quite hectic...fall fashion week was cray and not to mention lots of project close outs, wicked halloween slush fest, holiday parties and seasonal travel. SO with the new year is a new me...well more like a renewed me ;)

Spring fever has definitely hit new york. I mean really, this has been the mildest winter ever! (well less the 2011 halloween slush fest :/ wahn wahn) Nevertheless, i am super excited about the new season and finally being able to see some of the looks on the street. NYC in spring always makes for a great show (side note: spring fashion wk was interesting but im not so excited for fall). I will of course be rocking tri-color espadrilles (last seasons i know but i love them so). I usually begin with subtlety (blacks, greys, muted solids) and add a bit-o-shine...but this time around, who knows! maybe im evolving...gah the older i become the crazier i get.

Hopefully i can stay focused (ahem...as with this blog my history has proven otherwise....SQUIRREL!) Oh yeah, stay focus because i have some things in the workings...greeting cards [hand painted goodness :)] and clothing. yes...i said clothing. it is a small mom & pop operation... well its more pop than mom since mom does not exist. maybe blank n' pop? ha. FOCUS! uh well im looking into producing tanks. super grafik just like me! so stay tuned. but i should get on with what ive found to post so far...

i am quite addicted to shoes! maybe u did not know,,, so now u do! well this affinity for footwear generally leads me to some super schweet finds. Of course i cannot have them all or i would NEVER eat! but still, I love the Prada espadrille, well its more creeper than espadrille, but this season the creeper is EVERYWHERE! woo hoo. i mean who couldn't stand to be 2 inches taller. i mean, i can. but if your already pushing 6'3 i think u'll be fine less the lift. Phillip Lim is one of my favorite designers. super simple and  chic. well he combined some of my favorite things: shine, shoes, and lift. check out the Gunmetal Tone Smith Shoes from 3.1 Phillip Lim (750u$s). This mid-top shoe has a shiny gun-metal leather upper and a 1.75" rubber sole. About a quarter of an inch shy of 2" but hey...still not bad. The toe is rounded and tapered; a sophisticated, clean detail to what could have been quite clumsy. the tone on tone stitching keeps the distractions to a minimum allowing  one to focus on the beautifully finished leather. Im sure this somber shoe will turn more than a few heads.
Just in case the shoe doesn't quite tickle your fancy, how great would it be to lace up those metallic slippers while sitting upon your custom, hand painted skull chair by jimmie martin?! now thats what i call a great start to the day!

Until next time! (geeze i'll get the rhythm down sooner than later...bye bye bye!)
